Fishing from the bridge that crosses the Maranoa

Fishing from the foot bridge that crosses the Maranoa River is a favourite occupation for some people, especially those with young kids.

This afternoon I met three blokes with four young kids. The yellowbellies were biting and every now and then getting caught.

Meanwhile, the kids ran up and down the narrow metal pathway over the river, some clutching small yabbies, others eager to pat and hug Major. Even though so large, Major loves little kids and is very gentle with them.

A big first today! At 22 months of age, Major lifted his leg for the first time -- to mark a post.
