Viruses circulating in Mitchell

After feeling relieved that I had not contracted the cold virus circulating in Mitchell, yesterday I developed a very sore throat, headache and general feeling of being unwell.

So I now know what it's like, and feel sympathy for everyone else feeling this way. After one month, Doug still has a lot of nasal congestion. It seems a particularly nasty virus.

On a more positive note, I want to tell you about MAG (Maranoa Arts Gateway) located in the main street of Mitchell. This shop-front offers locals and visitors a wide selection of locally-made arts and crafts. In addition, it gives local people a place to display and sell their sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, paintings and other artistic creations.

Home-made jams, pickles, sweets and cakes are popular items, especially at the monthly Saturday morning market.

No more for now because I'm feeling less than well. The only good thing about colds is that you know they will eventually go. And that is a comfort!
